Just back from Hamburg Germany recording sessions in NDR Radio!

Pushing the baggage limits of Lufthansa (Thank you Lufthansa!) I just got back from Hamburg Germany with my Hammond XK-3 organ in the hold of the completely full 747-400 jumbo jet after recording my new album in Studio 1 of NDR Radio where everybody from Hendrix to Hitler (no kidding..pretty weird!) has broadcasted and recorded. I had some great musicians on the session: Joe Gallardo (Trombone), Lutz Buchner (Saxes), Heinz Lichius (Drums), myself on XK-3 Organ/Bass and Rudy was the great engineer. Last Mon. we did a live radio broadcast from "Music-Club-LIVE" with the lineup: Heinz Lichius-drums, Sandra Hempel-guitar, Frank Delle-tenor sax and myself on the XK-3 org. It went out over Jazzhaus Radio 96,0 and the next morning I was on the jet to Frankfurt and from there to JFK.
I cut a new radio show episode (HammondCast 16) there in the very same hotel room that John Lennon used to occupy and it can be heard online from my RSS Feed: http://feeds.feedburner.com/JonHammondCast
Yesterday I played a big nursing home solo gig on 79th St. and schlepped my keyboard there on the bus...and this morning it dumped down snow! i'm sure glad my gig wasn't today!

Mon. I get my teeth cleaned which I always enjoy and then on 17th I'll be flying out to SF to play my annual SF County Jail Christmas Show with my trio which will be Marc Baum-tenor sax, Jon Otis-drums and myself on organ.
I am planning to finish and release my new cd by March '06, The NDR Sessions !
