Feb. 2nd Jon Hammond will be celebrating beginning of 28th year of his long running cable TV
Program The Jon Hammond Show. Feb. 2nd of 1984 The Jon Hammond Show went on the air for the first
time on MCTV Channel C, in those days there weren't even numbers on the dial on Manhattan Cable
TV there were 23 channels. With original music from Jon Hammond and Barry Finnerty and Video Art
by Lori Friedman aka Video By LORI, the 29 minute program was written up in Billboard Magazine
just weeks after going on the air and has become a staple in the underground cable TV scene and
was also shown for 2.5 years on the first large outdoor TV screen in Times Square, the
Mitsubishi Diamond Vision at 47th St. and Broadway.
