Last night, a rousing 'Satin Doll' with Little Bird Jimmy Heath tenor, Carol Sudhalter flute, Bernard Purdie drums, Art Baron trombone, looks like Jack Jeffers bass trombone Harold Mabern at the piano, Lisle Atkinson bass (had just taken over from Wilbur Bascomb who played earlier *Bernice Brooks is the drummer, thanks Carol! JH - I was there for 5 hours and it was still going on when I finally had to split - he left the most amazing network of friends and musicians that continues on, I'm happy I could be there - R.I.P.
