After the 2 years in Frankfurt, 1 year in Paris and then 2 years in Hamburg in the North. The whole time living in Europe Jon continued producing and sending in The Jon Hammond Show TV shows for broadcast in New York City on Manhattan Cable TV. In Hamburg Jon Hammond worked together with Knut Benzner Moderator / Journalist of NDR and released his album “Late Rent” on Hot Wire Records which was distributed by EFA Medien. Joe Berger is a well-known guitarist and audio engineer who has worked and toured with John Entwistle of The WHO and world stars - he stopped counting at 35,000 bands! Jon and Joe began working together in the year 1986 and touring worldwide. Giovanni Totò Gulino has backed up everybody in Frankfurt - he is one of the best drummers in Hessen, and long-time haus drummer for the world famous jazzkeller. Peter Klohmann is a rising star on tenor saxophone - he has already been featured on HR Radio together with the hr-bigband and is also a composer. Jon Hammond (organ) Nachdem sich in den vergangenen Jahren das LaJazzO MV mit den in der Big Band vorkommenden Instrumenten musikalisch auseinandersetzte, wird in 2015 die Jazzorgel musikalisch thematisiert werden. Unter dem Titel "Organ meets Big Band" wird dieses sehr traditionsreiche Instrument der Jazzgeschichte in den Mittelpunkt der Konzertreihe im folgenden Jahr gestellt. Als Jazzinstrument wurde es von Fats Waller in den 30er Jahren eingeführt und hatte seine Hochzeit in den 50er Jahren durch seine Vertreter wie Jimmy Smith. Der international renommierte New Yorker Jazzorganist Jon Hammond wird zusammen mit dem LaJazzO MV unter der Leitung von Michael Leuschner den besonderen Charme dieses Instrumentes wieder zum Leben erwecken. Jon Hammond studierte in den siebzieger Jahren am Berklee College of Music und am City College San Francisco. Konzertreisen führten ihn quer durch die Vereinigten Staaten und Kanada. In seiner eigenen 'Jon Hammond Show' spielte er mit Musikern wie Dizzy Gillespie, Paul Butterfield, Jaco Pastorius, John Entwistle, Sammy Davis Jr., Percy Sledge und vielen anderen. Auch in Europa fand und findet seine Musik unverändert viele Anhänger. Die Medien berichten wiederholt von einem unverwechselbaren und prägenden Sound. Jon Hammond hat u.a. auf der 20. Frankfurter Musikmesse mitgewirkt und tritt vornehmlich in Hamburg auf.
