Jon Hammond - Musiker, Komponist, Bandleader, Verleger, Journalist, TV-Moderator, Radio-DJ und Multimedia-Unternehmer. Er begann seine musikalische Karriere bereits im Alter von 12 Jahren, spielte Orgel und Akkordeon und besuchte später die Berklee College of Music. In San Francisco spielte er mit vielen Musiker, u.a. mit Eddie Money und Mitgliedern von Tower of Power. Ausserdem reist er zu allen namhaften Musikmessen in der Welt. Mit Jon Hammond zusammen werden auftreten: Joe Berger – er spielte bereits mit John Entwisle, Jack Bruce, Mark Hitt, Jon Anderson, Vangelis, Dream Street, Bill Cobham, Doug Wimbish und Teruo Nakamura. Ebenso dabei sind Frank Delle, seit 16 Jahren Saxophonist der NDR BigBand, Michael Leuschner, Trompete – ebenso beim NDR sowie Heinz Lichius an den Drums - welcher ohne Zweifel einer der besten Schlagzeuger Europas ist. Er saß u.a. bei Musikern wie Maria Schneider, Bob Mintzer, Michel Petrucciani, Horace Parlan, Philip Catherine, Herb Geller, Benny Bailey, Barry Finnerty, Bill Mays, Spike Robinson, Jürgen Attig, Joe Gallardo`s "Latino Blue", Ulla Meinecke Band , in der NDR Bigband, für das Jonas Schoen Quartett, im Uli Kringler Trio und bei Roger Cicero am Schlagzeug.

Es wird ein erlebnisreicher Konzertabend der Extraklasse, der durch seinen Groove ordentlich Stimmung verspricht. Funky, jazzy, bluesig und mit Swing gemischte Spielfreude live und ungefiltert. Um diese besondere Atmosphäre abzurunden werden gute Weine, Fassbier und andere erfrischende Getränke angeboten.

Die Karten für das Konzert in der Burgstrasse 2 im Heimathaus in Rotenburg kosten im VVK 15€, erm. 12€ (für Schüler, Stundenten, Menschen mit Behinderung und Mitglieder des JazzClubs) und an der AK 18€.
